Signs, flags, and nameplates

All types of signs and flags must display the DNV coloured logo.

Outdoor signs
Outdoor signs, either free standing or installed on building walls shall display the DNV coloured logo (top centre) and the full name of Det Norske Veritas (centred under the logo, set in ITC New Baskerville, small capitals, ratio 10:9) on a silver or brushed aluminium background. Any lighting shall be by floodlight, neon/backlight is not allowed.

Indoor signs
Nameplates and signs for indoor walls or office doors shall have a uniform design in each office location, and be based on the visual identity elements (DNV logo and typography). The only typeface permitted for such signs is ITC New Baskerville Roman, upper and lower case or, alternatively, small capitals in the ratio of 10:9.

Flags
The DNV outdoor and desktop flags shall be based on the DNV coloured logo. The aspect ratios of the blue and green areas may be adjusted to suit national flag proportions. Avoid fringes on desktop flags.
